Have a box large enough to store it all in, then kept it in a safe place, but always at hand for any emergencies. A good home should always have a herbal remedy at hand, I advise to keep the Eco Vet products as I have found that they exceptional value for their money and they do work. These can be obtained from Dr Alex Niven of Eco Vet. They have assisted in relieving more than one of my chows various problems at times when needed.

Garlic, Rosemary, Fennel Raspberry. These are the four most popular herbs used.

Eco Vet products are homoeopathic remedies.

Herbal and Homoeopathic remedies.

These are just a few remedies I have used on my dogs.

(Standard infusion 1 tablespoon of dry herbs to 1 liter of water boiled for three minuets and then left to stand overnight before using.)

A strong infusion is the same as above but only half the amount of water is used; man and animal alike long used Herbal remedies before today’s medicine was even discovered.

Right back to the days of the cave man when the medicine woman would go out before the sun was up to gather herbs for the days cooking and to tend the ill of the clan, animals still today when allowed to wander free in the wilds supplement their meals with herbs and grass that they find along their way.

Herbal treatment is a natural healing process and treatment is carried out in the most natural ways possible.

Homeopathy is a method built up on scientific foundation, but most of the treatments are of an herbal kind and very similar to herbal treatments.

Various books will full treatments can be obtained from book shops throughout South Africa, and most treatments for humans can also be adapted for the use of animals.

I am therefore covering the most essential treatments, the every day problems that you are sure to come across in the day of owning a Chow Chow or any other dog.
